Dia De Los Muertos Festival 2014, Adelaide, SA

This weekend in Adelaide was full of car events, but you cannot be everywhere at the same time. So my decision was to stick with SA’s Dia De Los Muertos Festival, which was traditionally organized by Whiteline Transport and Dirty Devil Kustoms from Adelaide, SA. What else you will need to have a good day – live music, cool cars, having fun and raising money for charity. And all is happenning at the same time.

“Dia De Los Muertos” from Spanish means “Day of the Dead” (dates back 3000 years and happens on November 1), originally comes from Mexico but also celebrated around the world including South Australia. Dia de los Muertos celebrates the lives of the deceased with food, drink, parties, and activities the dead enjoyed in life. Enjoy my photos following this LINK.

More than a thousand of classic and vintage vehicles, trucks and motorbikes were gathered together in one place to participate in the biggest classic rally Bay to Birdwood 2014. Also, we could see some military units there as well and even a gun. Traditionally the meeting point was at the Barratt Reserve, West Beach to finish at the National Motor Museum at Birdwood, Adelaide Hills. The overall distance was about 70 kilometres.  Some sources say that more than 70.000 people were lined up along the roads to wave hands and welcome the 34th Bay To Birdwood Run drivers.

River City Rumble 2014

Yesterday we had a pleasure to spend a good weekend and drive to Murray Bridge, where we met a lot of cool cars and bikes. River City Rumble was the 1st such rockabilly festival in the area for the last 4 years and not many people knew about it. But despite of that, there were a few really cool inspiration subjects such as rusty rat rods, hot rods, choppers, bobbers and muscle cars. The Murray Bridge River City Rumble is being held on the 13-14th September 2014 at Sturt Reserve, Murray Bridge, SA
